meet the founder

A black woman psychotherapist supporting Black women.

welcome. i'm taylor, a licensed psychotherapist + board approved clinical supervisor in the state of Maryland, and founder of root + restore.

over the years, i’ve refined my clinical practice to offer a dedicated space for women who are ready to do the courageous work of returning home to themselves. together, we trace the relational patterns that have quietly shaped how you see yourself and your place in the world. we will naturally wander into the terrain of embodiment by exploring the relationship you carry with your body, the way it has been perceived, politicized, or quietly dismissed. we follow the thread wherever it leads, and collaboratively navigate what it means to come home to the fullness of who you are.

my approach is integrative, trauma-responsive, culturally sensitive, and person-centered. you are the expert on your own life. we get comfy, we drop the pretenses, we laugh, we cry, we curse sometimes. we do the messy, beautiful work of healing together.

i strive to create a space that’s brave, not perfect. your autonomy will be honored and your whole self is always welcomed.

whether you're seeking therapy, supervision, or simply a space to reconnect with yourself, you are welcomed to explore healing with curiosity, compassion, and agency at root + restore.
